Resiliency for Life

Resiliency for Life is a voluntary academic intervention and drop-out prevention program serving 60 Framingham High School students. The progam develops the skills and confidence in students experiencing social difficulties and who are at risk of academic failure. By providing individualized educational and personal support systems within a caring community, Resiliency for Life enables students to persevere, thrive, and lead productive lives. Resiliency for Life offers academic services: tracking and monitoring of all classwork, peer tutoring, math and science tutoring, MCAS and SAT prep, bi-weekly progress reports to parents, and an intensive summer program for incoming 9th graders in math and English. The social/emotional services include: crisis intervention, on-site counseling, teen groups, leadership retreats four times a year, group meetings, and staff support for personal issues. Parents attend a parent meeting every other Monday night. While in the program, students experience accountability and emotional support.
