Acopsas is the community asociation for rural health based in Lago Agrio, the petrol town in northern Ecuador at the edge of the rainforest. Acopsas has been involved for twenty years in providing medical care to the poorest in society, also providing lodging for those who have to come for hospital visits from the countryside and also providing health and social capacitacion for rural and poor populations.
