In the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God provide services to the spiritually and physically needy in the Pittsburgh region and parts of the USA, Brazil, Lithuania, and Bolivia, especially the poor, oppressed and otherwise marginalized. The Sisters' ministries include pastoral services, healthcare, education, youth and prison outreach, therapeutic massage and other social services.On their Whitehall campus, the Sisters operate the Franciscan Spirit and Life Center and the Franciscan Child Day Care Center.
