Legal Advocacy & Resource Center, Inc. of Boston

Since 1983, The Legal Advocacy & Resource Center ("LARC") has operated a free legal hotline in support of its mission to help Massachusetts residents with legal problems by providing quality legal information and advice, and by making referrals to legal and social service agencies. LARC conducts monthly client education sessions in the areas of consumer and bankruptcy law and is active in community outreach. The hotline is staffed by attorneys, paralegals, students and volunteers. Massachusetts residents can telephone the hotline and receive legal advice and referrals on a wide range of matters, including landlord/tenant, family law, domestic violence, health, consumer, bankruptcy, public benefits and disability issues. Most of the clients LARC assists are low-income.
