The Center for Women

The Center for Women helps women in transition achieve and maintain economic independence by providing and referring career, educational, and financial resources.

Through our internship program, we place women at local organizations to provide skill-building opportunities that help women gain the confidence, skills and knowledge required to enter or re-enter the workforce. Clients at the Center for Women learn firsthand the day-to-day responsibilities of their chosen careers, the intricacies of the changing workforce, preparation for workforce entry/re-entry, build their skill sets and benefit from new networking opportunities. 

In addition, the Center for Women sets up mentoring relationships between professional women and women in transition, hosts frequent workshops on financial literacy, independent living and job searching, and provides a wide range of referral services to resources around the Pittsburgh region.
