Oakland Thrive

Oakland Thrive works to bolster economic development throughout Oakland County, Michigan, a desirable area that attracts both residents and business owners. By connecting with small and micro businesses in every Oakland County region and providing free support and services, Oakland Thrive will close prosperity gaps and level the playing field for all of the areas we serve.

Oakland Thrive was launched in March of 2023 and is a strategic partner with Oakland County and other state-wide and regional organizations to help realize Oakland County’s vibrant and inclusive economy through direct small business support, project management, defense and aerospace development, and business intelligence.

Our mission is in our name THRIVE - Together Helping Realize Inclusive and Vibrant Economies.

The flagship program of Oakland Thrive is Business Forward. Business Forward's purpose is to connect Oakland County’s entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources they need to be successful. While Oakland County has a great many programs and organizations that support community and economic development, too often small business owners are unaware that these resources even exist. While Business Forward exists to help all of Oakland County, special attention is given to underrepresented communities and minority-, woman-, LGBTQ- and veteran-owned businesses.
