American Friends Immigrant Services (AFIS) is the Florida office of the American Friends Service Committee, the service arm of the Quaker faith. Quaker values include social and economic justice, equality and peace. AFIS is specifically involved with immigration legal services, outreach, popular education to stimulate dialogue between immigrant and nonimmigrant groups, and workers rights issues although our work is designed to expand to meet the needs of the local community. Community involvement and interaction is crucial to our work and we welcome any volunteers who are interested in participating.
