SonShine Global Partners

Sonshine Global Partners has been involved in organizing short-term mission trips to Uganda since 2008 and to Southern Sudan (now South Sudan) since 2009.

We have collaborated with our ministry partner, Gospel Messengers of Kampala, in Uganda and the Sudan Pentecostal Church in Southern Sudan to create both a medical and psychology team.

The medical team goes to remote villages each day and holds a clinic with the local nurses and doctors. A pharmacy is setup at the site and patients with a wide variety of problems are seen.

As part of the services offered the patients are taught about malaria, HIV, hygiene and nutrition. Reading glasses are also given to those in need. Many of the patients only see a doctor when our team arrives which is only once a year.

The Psychology team has worked with the Psychology Department of Gulu University to train village leaders on how to recognize and work with people who are suffering from Post Trauma Stress Disorder.

We have built an elementary school in Gulu, Uganda. We funded a food security assessment by the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Gulu University of Kajo Kiji County, South Sudan.
