End Gun Violence Michigan is a coalition of 47 faith, community, teacher, student and parent organizations working to prevent gun violence in our state. We formed in the aftermath of the Oxford High School shooting with the goal of building an advocacy coalition with enough power to beat the gun industry. We were instrumental in the campaigns that resulted in the passage of Michigan’s first new gun laws in forty years: extreme risk protection orders (ERPO), safe storage requirements, universal background checks, and stronger protections for domestic violence survivors. We us the tools of public education and mobilization, grassroots organizing, earned media, and advocacy to win change.
