Our formal mission statement is this: To be the family of God, following the way of Jesus, living simply, and sacrificially loving our neighborhood.
This means that we try to love each other and support each other to live our deepest values. This means we try to maintain a lifestyle that is just and sustainable--good for the earth and good for relationships. For example, most of us commute by bike. It also means we try to be a faithful presence in the lives of those around us in a tough neighborhood. For example, we help out when neighbors have needs and we befriend folks around us who are experiencing homelessness. We welcome anyone who wants to participate in the goodness going on here!
