L.A. Walks

Los Angeles Walks is a pedestrian advocacy organization that works to make walking safe, accessible, fun, and equitable in Los Angeles.

What we do:

• Promote walking and pedestrian infrastructure in Los Angeles
• Educate Angelenos and local decision-makers regarding the rights and needs of pedestrians of all abilities
• Foster the development of safe and vibrant environments for all people walking

We believe that walking is the most fundamental form of mobility, and that everyone deserves a safe walking environment – regardless of income, age, race, ability, or ZIP code. We believe that providing all residents with a safe walking environment is a core function of government. We understand that the urban environment has an immense impact on individual and community health, and believe that residents should help to determine how that environment is designed and how it functions.
