Currently, stroke disproportionately affects underserved minority
populations, occurring more frequently and resulting more often in disability
or death in these groups. The VICTORS Project aims to
identify what contributes to this difference in stroke outcome in order to try
to reduce these disparities for stroke survivors in Washington, DC.
