Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County

Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County is the official anti-poverty agency of Dutchess County and has been serving the community for over 45 years. With four Community and Family Development centers, located in Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, Red Hook and Dover Plains, the Agency offers a diverse array of services to county in the interest of empowering our clients and promoting greater economic self-reliance. Our dedicated Family Resource Coordinators help hundreds of families navigate economic challenges including access to our food pantry, prescription assistance and home heating fuel. Our Weatherization program can retrofit eligible homes to save money on energy costs. Our EITC program offers free income tax preparation, and our Dress for Success program is here to help women who are attempting to re-enter the workforce. At Community Action, we believe that all people and families have strengths and assets, and the community as whole is healthiest when we all work together to help recognize and maximize those strengths.
