At SNV we believe that no-one should have to live in poverty. We are dedicated to a society in which all people, irrespective of race, class or gender, enjoy the freedom to pursue their own sustainable development. SNV was founded in the Netherlands in 1965, and brings more than 50 years of on-the-ground experience to today's development challenges. Founded as an affiliate of SNV in 2007, SNV USA was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) United Sates-based non-profit organization in 2012. SNV USA provides innovative solutions in Agriculture, Energy, and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene to alleviate poverty through sustainable and locally-led development in disadvantaged communities around the world.
