Our Mission -- Family Service of Greater New Orleans strengthens the emotional health and fosters the self-sufficiency of families and individuals.

Family Service of Greater New Orleans is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing counseling and community education to families in need.

For more than 120 years,our professionally trained staff have provided families throughout the metropolitan area with the skills they need to succeed. Family Service staff members are trained in many fields, including:

• Marriage and Family Therapy
• Social Work
• Counseling
• Skills Training
• Community Education

We are accessible, with four offices throughout the greater New Orleans area. Hours are flexible, with evening and Saturday appointments available.

We offer services to individuals and groups, as well as in schools and neighborhoods. Many of our clients come to us from referrals via service professionals in other organizations, and many call us directly.

Our sliding fee scale means that clients from every income level are able to benefit from our services. We're an affordable investment for the greater New Orleans community as well, since preventing family crisis is one of the wisest investments any community can make. Crime, unemployment and welfare can increase an individual's tax burden by hundreds of dollars each year.
