Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) is a private nonprofit university that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs to students with a passion and commitment to transforming the health and wellness of underserved communities. Named in honor of Dr. Charles R. Drew, a brilliant African-American physician recognized for his pioneering work in blood transfusions and preservation, CDU is the nation's only dually designated Historically Black Graduate Institution and Hispanic Serving Health Professions School.
