JASS Southeast Asia (SEA) - the regional network of JASS (www.justassociates.org) - works across many languages, cultures and the rural-urban divide in 5 Southeast Asian countries. Emphasizing grassroots organizing and popular education, JASS mentors young diverse activists to mobilize women for rights and resources at local and national government levels, and to challenge conservative religious and social influences on politics and public values. Intergenerational learning and action connect women to challenge taboos of sex and sexuality, expand women’s political participation, and challenge stereotypes and discrimination against women in the media.
