Misión
The Friends of Northumberland County Animal Shelter, Inc., (FNCAS) is a public nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the support of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter. We are an evolving organization in need of external support mechanisms to help us accomplish our goal to successfully place homeless animals in safe, loving, forever homes.

The goal of Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter (FNCAS) is to successfully place Northumberland County Shelter animals in their forever homes. For over 15 years animal lovers have volunteered at Northumberland County Animal Shelter as unofficial partners. In March 2016 we obtained 501(c)(3) status and the Friends of Northumberland County Animal Shelter (FNCAS) was formed. With the FNCAS partnership, the Northumberland County Animal Shelter has exceeded industry standards as a "no-kill" shelter with a live release rate of 96% in 2019. FNCAS is committed to supporting our county's pets and enables the Shelter to provide a warm and safe place for wonderful animals until they find their forever homes.
