Mission
The YWCA of Central Virginia is a mission-driven organization centered in Lynchburg that provides comprehensive services to women in need the two cities and seven counties that comprise our service area. The YWCA national mission of “eliminating racism and empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all” is fulfilled locally through programs addressing women’s economic empowerment, housing, racial justice, violence against women, sexual assault, and through community collaboration.
