Foster Grandparent Program focuses on bridging the generation gap between seniors 55 years of age and older and children who have special needs. Foster Grandparents serve children who are visually or hearing impaired, emotionally or physically abused, or learning disabled. They assist in the development of motor skills, self care, learning skills and independence. In addition, they serve as mentors and tutors. Our elderly are able to guide our youth thru wisdom, experience, talents, skills and knowledge. This grant is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Services.
