HandReach Youth

HandReach is a nonprofit charity organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), composed of students, scholars, and professionals working together to promote human development in the least developed areas of the world.

Since its founding in 2002, HandReach has raised money for the devasted, often severely crippled, children in the most rural parts of China. Through the Children's Healing Initiative (CHI), members of HandReach helped develop instrastructure within local hospitals that can better serve trauma-injured children and their families through world-class medical care, long-term rehabilitation, and psychosocial support. The Sichuan Hope Project, launched after the destructive earthquake at the Sichuan Province on May 12, 2008, have since allocated both financial and medical assistances for children who were left permanently disabled by falling rubble.

The HandReach Youth Leadership Team is born out of the HandReach cause. We adhere to the philanthropic goals of HandReach, and seek to raise funds and develop future leaders.
