Friends of WEECE, Inc.

The mission of WEECE is to support the marginalized women in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania to achieve economic stability and gender equality through microloans, education, and counseling/advocacy. In addition to microloans, WEECE provides legal advocacy and counseling programs, trades/skills training, healthcare and HIV/AIDS awareness programs, support for small schools, and the rebuilding of geographically disadvantaged villages. WEECE is the only community-based organization in the region using an integrated approach at a grassroots level to address the problems of poverty and discrimination.
