    Acerca de

The Loretto Motherhouse is a convent that currently houses approximately 100 vowed nuns, and also has an infirmary, a public art gallery, an extensive museum, and 760 acres of land. Started in Loretto Kentucky in 1812 by three female educators who saw a need for advocacy, education, and change in rural Kentucky, the Loretto Community now spans 16 states and 4 countries. The Loretto Motherhouse, located in Marion County, between Springfield and Bardstown, is in constant need of people of all ages, skill levels, and capabilities. Volunteers will be able to choose from a wide variety of work, from grounds maintenance, to room visits in the infirmary, teaching technology (phones, computer, Ipads etc.) gardening and etc. We have a place for ANYONE who wants to do service. As we are a unique community, we are also very flexible with volunteer times Our Volunteer Director, Amanda, can be contacted at ammattingly@lorettomotherhouse.org.
