National Center for Schools and Communities

The mission of the National Center for Schools and Communities is to build the power and capacity of low-income parents and communities to improve their children’s schools. We create research and action partnerships with grassroots organizing groups, parents, civic and community leaders, public school teachers, university faculty, and other community stakeholders dedicated to closing the achievement gap between poor children and other students.
