The Pet Cottage

The Pet Cottage is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that pets continue to be loved, protected, and cared for when their people can no longer provide for them due to death, disability, or deployment. Through our Lifelong Guardianship Program, we match pets with carefully selected Forever Guardians and provide ongoing support for life, creating lasting bonds that enrich both pets and people. We believe every promise is made with a lifetime in mind, and we work every day to ensure that every pet always has a place to belong.

The Pet Cottage is a Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to keeping life's promises to pets when circumstances change. We serve individuals and families who want the peace of mind of knowing their pets will always be cared for if they die, become disabled, or are deployed.

Through our Lifelong Guardianship Program, pets are matched with carefully selected Forever Guardians who provide loving homes and companionship. Unlike traditional rehoming programs, our commitment does not end with placement. We remain involved throughout each pet's life, providing ongoing support, veterinary care, medications, and guidance to ensure both pets and guardians thrive.

Many of our Forever Guardians are older adults who gain purpose, companionship, and connection through welcoming a pet into their home. This creates meaningful relationships that enrich the lives of both pets and people.

For pets who require additional medical, behavioral, or specialized care, our Sanctuary Residency Program provides a safe, home-like environment where they can continue to receive the support they need.
