New York Performance Standards Consortium

The New York Performance Standards Consortium is a educational partner organization that includes 38 public high schools (and a few middle schools) in New York State. Most of our schools are in New York City with another in Rochester NY and one in Ithaca NY.

The Consortium schools graduate students using performance assessment tasks, the type of work that requires in-depth reading, writing, thinking, and discussion. Consortium graduates have a record of doing well in college, having had the kind of academic challenge they would need to succeed. Our system works for all students--we have higher graduation rates for our ELL students and students with IEPs than the overall NYC high school rate.

Our schools are now looking for progressive educators for the fall.
