El Pueblo

El Pueblo is a force for justice and compassion for the immigrant community in Mississippi, offering programs and services that empower immigrants to speak on their own behalf, access vitally important means to legalization, build leadership and community, and engage in civic life, and; changing the hearts and minds of the larger community by educating Gulf Coast citizens on the reality of the immigrant experience. 

We have an immigration attorneys on staff; we are recognized and accredited by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide professional immigration legal services; and we are a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). The majority of our legal cases are humanitarian-based. 

Other services and programs include translation and interpretation services, English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship instruction, a women's empowerment group, crisis intervention, and assisting immigrants to access community services.
