Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation

Acerca de

The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) is a national, non-profit dedicated to finding causes and cures for pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic and potentially life-threatening heart disease. As the only patient advocacy group focused on all forms of cardiomyopathy in the U.S., CCF is committed to improving diagnosis and treatment for those affected through increased research, education, awareness, and advocacy.

Established in 2002 by a parent who lost two young children to cardiomyopathy, the goal was to accelerate the search for cures and address the unmet needs of patients and their families. CCF's commitment to fostering research collaborations and facilitating dialogue among physicians, medical societies, and federal agencies has led to advances in how patients are managed and supported. More than 445 medical publications and presentations on pediatric cardiomyopathy have resulted from CCF-funded studies and scientific conferences.

Twenty years later, CCF is a global community of families, physicians, and supporters working together to improve outcomes and quality of life for children with cardiomyopathy. CCF continues to strengthen its partnerships with the scientific community and industry while ensuring that the patient perspective is always at the forefront.
