Founded in 2006, the mission of the Polizzi Foundation is to improve the quality of life of persons affected by mental illness. The main focus of the Polizzi Foundation is to address the need for mental health care among the uninsured and underinsured in Utah, with the 2010 opening of the Foundation's Polizzi Clinic. The clinic's mission is assist with the unmet need in Utah for mental health services, since over 350,000 of Utah's 2.7 million residents are uninsured, and over 115,000 people in Utah are living with serious mental conditions.
