Celebrating over 40 years of service to women and families with children, Next Move is the area's longest run homeless shelter. Next Move (formerly Sacramento Area Emergency Housing Center) operates 11 programs in Sacramento County including one of only two emergency shelters that accept single fathers, two parent families and sons over the age of 14. Serving 1,650 clients a year, Next Move is an established and trusted agency that provides the services necessary to break the cycle of homelessness.
