Acerca de
The Sarnath International Nyingma Institute (SINI) was founded by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku and is directed by his daughter Tsering Gellek. The Institute’s primary mission is to bridge the wisdom, knowledge, and best practices of the East and the West. Tsering Gellek, and her dynamic team of volunteers, have developed SINI into a platform for serving the greater good of Buddhism in the East and West.
SINI Bridge is an International Institute with headquarters in Sarnath, India and Cazadero, California. Volunteers work remotely at this time in a highly collaborative team environment, developing and supporting programs such as:
- Residential and virtual "English for Dharma Purposes" program in Sarnath and online for monastics
- Residential and virtual Tibetan Language program
- Preservation and transmission of Dharma teachings and practices, including Sanskrit chanting, filmmaking and more
- Creative collaboration between exile populations and local artists
- Development and translation of the first-ever encyclopedia of the Buddha's teachings
- Environmental and Community Relief projects to relieve hunger and water scarcity, and promote food sovereignty by developing green spaces in the Sarnath area
SINI is currently recruiting virtual volunteers with skills in IT, marketing, audio and video editing, and interactive program development.
