SonRise Development Corporation

Established in 1999 as a community-based 501(c)(3), SonRise Development Corporation was organized by First Baptist Church of Englewood to expand its work and go beyond the barriers of religious organizations by providing comprehensive programs and services. In early 2000s, guided by its mission “Light for a New Day, Hope for a new Life Empowering People through Information, Education and Service” SonRise Development Corporation moved forcefully into education and early childhood learning by providing the Next Step Project: a family oriented project aimed to bridge the achievement gap between urban and suburban children; and Determined to Achieve: an advocacy and support group for special-needs children and their families. SonRise is committed to servicing those who are in need of guidance and direction. To date SonRise Development Corporation offers the following programs: SonRise House, SonRise Family Services, and His Invitation to Victory.
