The Treatment and Learning Centers

TLC is a private nonprofit organization serving children and adults with disabilities. Located in Rockville, MD since 1950, TLC helps children and adults achieve their full potential. Its five services, which serve more than 2,100 children and adults annually, include: - The Katherine Thomas School (KTS)-An independent day school for students with autism and signficant learning disabilities in preschool through 11th grade. (12th grade begins Fall 2007) - Educational Services-Testing, tutoring, and counseling for students of all ages. -Outcomes -Vocational assessment, training, and placement for adults with developmental disabilities and youth transitioning from high school to work. -Outpatient services - speech and language, occupational and physical therapy for children with communication disorders, fine and gross motor deficits and sensory integration needs. -The Family Hearing Center-Comprehensive hearing evaluations, and hearing aid services for all ages, infants and adults.
