    Acerca de

Welcome to East Coast Assistance Dogs, Inc., where our dogs are taught to retrieve items, open doors, activate light switches, pull wheelchairs, balance, brace, and perform many other highly specialized tasks through the ECADemy© training program.

We tailor each dog's skills to the needs of our Clients, who have a variety of limitations in strength, balance, coordination, or mobility.

East Coast Assistance Dogs was founded by Lu and Dale Picard. Prior to founding ECAD, Lu helped several business organizations in their startup efforts and gained experience in business and administration.

Since then, ECAD has received a nonprofit status and has grown to have training facilities in Connecticut and place Assistance Dogs nationwide.

There is always a lot going on at ECAD, from the time the puppies are whelped until the day they graduate and every day in between. So how does it all happen? One step at a time. Like to know more and get involved, contact us. info@ecad1.org
