The Akron Zoological Park (Akron Zoo) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife while providing a dynamic, financially responsible, guest-centered animal experience that is energized by innovation and fun. Through its 63 year history, the Akron Zoo has remained an integral part of the Summit County community. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and boasts more than 700 species within its 50-acre park.
