PA State Chapter of Children's Advocacy Centers and Multi-Disciplinary Teams

PACAC is a 501(c)(3) that is governed by a Board of Directors which includes Child Advocacy Center Directors as well as representatives from the private sector. We are a statewide membership organization that supports the development, growth, and sustainability of Child Advocacy Centers and Multi-Disciplinary Teams across Pennsylvania.

PACAC is accredited by our national membership organization, the National Children’s Alliance. We have twenty-two accredited Child Advocacy Centers in PA, as well as eleven associate members, four satellite members, and four affiliate members. We have multiple counties that do not yet have a Child Advocacy Center.

PACAC is committed to the Child Advocacy Center’s coordinated approach which brings law enforcement, child welfare, prosecution, medical and mental health agencies together for the initial intervention, and for the provision of ongoing services.

PACAC provides training and technical assistance to existing and developing CACs and MDTs. We advocate for the CAC approach, and bring awareness about the impact of child abuse and the importance of a CAC response across our state. We seek funding to support the Chapter and our CAC programs. We educate policymakers and legislators about the work of CACs, and we monitor laws and regulations impacting children in PA.
