The Midwife Center for Birth & Women's Health

The mission of The Midwife Center is to provide exceptional woman-centered pregnancy, birth, and well-woman care in southwestern Pennsylvania’s only independent birth center. It is one of the oldest and busiest birth centers in the country.

The Midwife Center combines evidence-based and compassionate care to provide high quality primary gynecological, pregnancy and birthing services to low risk, healthy women throughout the tri-state area, and a safe, cost-effective, personal alternative to having a baby in a hospital. Women and families come from urban, suburban and rural areas, as well as from all socio-economic, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds to benefit from TMC’s unique services and excellent outcomes.
