City First Homes

CFHomes is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization supported by the Washington, DC government. CFHomes helps households to responsibly access the wealth-building and tax benefits of homeownership sooner than otherwise possible.

CFHomes makes owning a home more affordable by reducing monthly and upfront costs. If they sell, CFHomes homeowners agree to share a percentage of the home's appreciation with the next buyer, to keep the home "permanently affordable." CFHomes owners build significant wealth through equity payments and tax benefits, and far more wealth than renting.
