Global Outreach for Addiction Leadership and Learning (GOAL) began in 1992 with the clear vision to establish centers worldwide for the purpose of training and counseling people affected by addiction and those who care about them. The organization has grown from a single program focusing on Russia to support in 4 countries today (Kenya, Romania, Russia and Belize). GOAL uses the twelve step approach making their programs both affordable and sustainable in each country. For their work in Kenya, GOAL has been awarded a 3-year, 1 million dollar grant.
