Founded in 1990, OutRight Action International (formerly the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission) strives to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people to live safer, healthier, and more empowered lives worldwide. OutRight’s vision of change includes supporting policy and law reform, human rights documentation, intersectional coalitions, and normative development globally. Headquartered in New York, OutRight has programs and/or staff in the following regions: Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, it has a cross-regional program at the United Nations.
