Povertees is a LA-based not-for-profit organization that uses fashion as a social medium to help willing individuals escape the cycle of poverty. Through relationship-building, community development, strategic local partnerships, and the manufacturing of our own clothing we serve as a platform to empower willing individuals to help themselves. Our organization provides provisional needs (i.e. food, clothes, and blankets) to individuals without housing; we partner with local Transitional Living Homes and Rehabilitation Centers and help fund their Recovery programs, and we look to employ those we can help rehabilitate - thus allowing the formerly homeless to give the same opportunities that they were given to others.
