Whitemarsh Art Center

The Whitemarsh Art Center is a small but growing organization that offers day and evening programming for children and adults. Our children's classes are mixed media and offer a safe and fun environment in which to work with a variety of mediums, both new and familiar. Our current offering of art classes for adults focuses on either clay or paint mediums and are led by professional local artists. We frequently offer workshops to explore other unique mediums such as printmaking, jewelry, porcelain and raku pottery, and bookmaking.

Annual highlight events include a Plein Air Paint Out open to all painters over 18 and juried by a leading area painter or educator, as well as our Art in the Park anniversary celebration and an assortment of student and teacher exhibitions and other art events, often free to the public.

We conduct outreach into our county's schools and work with area corporate partners and local businesses to offer art education and programming to all residents of the Greater Whitemarsh area, including those who face economic, physical and learning challenges.

The Whitemarsh Art Center strives to enrich our community by fostering inspiration, appreciation and engagement in the arts for people of all ages and abilities.
