Rooted is a nonprofit organization that connects people to nature and local food. Through hands-on education, children and adults learn gardening, urban farming, healthy eating and natural areas restoration. Our nationally recognized programs include:
- community gardens
- certified organic CSA farm
- restored long grass prairie, woodlands and edible trail
- hands-on garden-based youth education
- youth farm
- curriculum and professional development for teachers
- support of school gardens.
- management of Troy Gardens, 26 acres
