Misión
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism, and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. Through partnerships and collaboration, we are committed to: 1. Increasing global understanding and acceptance of autism 2. Being a catalyst for research breakthroughs 3. Increasing early-childhood screening and timely interventions 4. Improving the transition to adulthood 5. Ensuring access to reliable information and services throughout the lifespan

The organization operates on a local/regional basis with the support of countless volunteers comprising family members, friends, educators and other wonderful and concerned individuals. Our annual walk is our premier fundraising event.
