Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a voluntary, private, not-for-profit, general, acute-care community healthcare organization. We provide health care to the people of St. Lawrence County, and to areas beyond for specialty services. We work cooperatively to provide or coordinate access to quality health care and to optimize the health of our customers.

Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a non-profit organization in the North Country. We employ approximately 850 employees and 100 volunteers. As a Canton-Potsdam Hospital Volunteer, you are a integral part of the Hospital team. Your efforts will benefit the Hospital in continuing its commitment to excellence while providing you with the personal satisfaction of contributing to the welfare of those in need. Each year, our volunteers find fulfillment, practical work experience and companionship at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Retirees gain personal satisfaction and reward by offering their time and experience to the Hospital. Employed adults volunteer for personal growth, job advancement, career change or social commitment. Students gain experience for college, resumes, employment applications, and accrue the volunteer hours needed to meet school course requirements. Teens have the opportunity to learn from this introduction to an environment of commitment and responsibility. Others share their compassion skills and expertise on behalf of patients, families and staff. Volunteer positions are available for a variety of shifts and locations throughout the week and weekends.
