Christine Marie & Artists creates large-scale immersive cinematic shadow theater performances. Performers and puppeteers appear both in and out of shadow and use light, color, objects, illuminated paintings, gestural acting and dance to tell compelling, visual stories. Founded by artist Christine Marie in 2006. The company is primarily based in San Francisco yet is currently in production in New York.

We strive to break new ground within the form while being intrinsically tied to ancient art forms and the metaphysical exploration of light. We are pioneering the use of 3D/stereoscopic shadow theater by inventing lights that project 30’ shadows that move into cubic space.
