American Softball

We are a sports program for Developmentally Challenged adults. Randy Novick is the CEO & Founder of American Softball. He dedicates his life to this league on behalf of all the challenged individuals out there who need an outdoor, physical activity.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our softball league consists of mentally & physically challenged adults who come from various group homes throughout Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Many of our players reside in a group home, with loving and caring counselors who care for their well-being. We are providing an outdoor activity, giving these individuals a chance to get out to play a game, no one ever dreamed would be possible. They are not only gaining mental awareness, but physical fitness too. While some may need assistance batting, others may need help running, or being wheeled to their bases. We are looking for volunteers to help our players in the dugout, on the field and running the bases

We are starting our 8^th season. Our program is 16 weeks. Opening day will be held on Saturday, May 18^th 2019at 10:00AM to 1:00PM playing each Saturday. We play at Kissena Corridor Park on Mario Fajardo Field #10 in Flushing, New York. We strive to provide a program where each player gains the confidence from picking up a softball bat, hitting the ball, running the bases and playing the field, while interacting with each other through a non- competitive game of softball. Its priceless!!
