Great Basin Mine Watch serves to protect the people, land, air, water and wildlife of the Great Basin through reform of mining practices in the region. Our efforts include educating the public about the public health, environmental and economic impacts of mining; persuading regulatory agencies to change practices mine-by-mine; and creating a paradigm shift in the regulation and practice of metals mining.
