The Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board, or WFWIB, is the designated workforce development board for the Westmoreland-Fayette workforce development area in Westmoreland County and Fayette County of southwestern Pennsylvania. The WFWIB is a business, education, and community board empowered to lead workforce development activities. The WFWIB’s mission is to lead regional workforce development activities in its local area to ensure individuals obtain the skills needed for today’s workforce and to help local employers retrain, hire, and retain skilled workers. The WFWIB coordinates and oversees dozens of workforce development programs and training/education opportunities pertaining to individuals as young as elementary school to as mature as adults.
