Galveston Sustainable Communities Alliance

Galveston Sustainable Communities Alliance is a non-profit organization serving the community of Galveston, a barrier island along the Texas Gulf Coast. We strive to increase educational opportunities for all children, especially the nearly 70% that are economically disadvantaged or at risk, from cradle through career.

GSCA was founded on the idea that data-driven, dedicated, and coordinated efforts across multiple sectors of a community can transform education to meet the needs of all children. Our partners are leaders in the business, higher education, faith-based, government, health care, social services, and public, private, and charter school communities.

Together, we strengthen opportunities for kids from cradle to career—which means we focus on early education for kids all the way through to higher- education and career preparation.

Moving forward, we hope that GSCA will be the backbone for education excellence in Galveston.
